How Do You Choose to Tell Your Story?

I was struck today by how many avenues we can collaborate, communicate, and connect with each other. People have always thought up unique ways to get their story out. Whether it’s carrier pigeons or cave drawings, telegraphs or Twitter, we have the ability to connect in vast ways. How do you choose to tell your story?

Today was a good day because I got to create and collaborate on many stories. Through Facebook, Twitter, multiple websites, teleconferencing , drawing, webinars, email, and numerous computer programs,  I touched base with all of our staff/speakers/volunteers; wrote a press release and planned repertoire for the upcoming Caddo County arts council event; worked with my team to forecast budget and revenue predictions for AC12 and AC13; approved a marketing advert; scouted ideas for our AC13 speakers; promoted a friend’s freelance film; and finalized details for a student visual art exhibit, to name a few.

All in all a great day. The blur right before an event is sometimes the most satisfying because you can watch the pieces clicking together.
